Summary
SpendCue is a local-first personal finance tracker developed by Mahmoud Gamal. The app is designed so the developer does not collect, sell, rent, or track your personal finance records.
Your transactions, budgets, subscriptions, goals, debts, categories, accounts, preferences, and insight inputs are stored on your device and may sync through your private iCloud account when iCloud is available.

Information Handled By The App
SpendCue stores information that you choose to enter or import, such as transaction amounts, dates, currencies, categories, accounts, merchants, notes, tags, recurring rules, subscriptions, budgets, savings goals, debt accounts, and debt payments.
The app also stores app preferences such as currency, month start day, theme, onboarding state, notification settings, biometric lock preference, premium entitlement state, and local category suggestion history.
SpendCue does not ask you to create a developer account and does not require bank connection credentials.
Storage And iCloud Sync
SpendCue stores app data locally on your device using Apple's app storage technologies. When iCloud is available for the app, records may sync through your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure.
iCloud sync is controlled by your Apple ID, iCloud settings, device settings, and Apple's systems. The developer does not operate a separate cloud database for your SpendCue records and does not have access to your private iCloud data.
Apple may process iCloud data according to Apple's own terms and privacy practices.
Notifications And Biometrics
If you enable reminders, SpendCue may ask iOS for notification permission and schedule local notifications for items such as upcoming subscriptions. Notification content is handled by iOS on your device.
If you enable biometric lock, SpendCue uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework to unlock the app with Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode. The app does not receive or store your biometric data.
Purchases
SpendCue offers optional premium purchases and subscriptions. Purchases, billing, renewals, refunds, and entitlement verification are handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.
The app may store your premium entitlement status locally so premium features can be unlocked in the app. The developer does not receive your full payment card details from Apple.
AI Insights
SpendCue includes insight and assistant features that summarize local finance facts, identify possible duplicates, flag unusual activity, and highlight budget risks. These features are informational only and are not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice.
Where available, AI responses are designed to use Apple's on-device system language model and local app context. SpendCue does not send your finance records to a developer-operated AI server.
Third-Party Services
SpendCue relies on Apple services for iCloud sync, App Store purchases, notifications, biometric authentication, and operating-system features. The app does not include advertising SDKs or third-party tracking SDKs.
Children's Privacy
SpendCue is not directed to children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Deleting Your Data
You can delete records inside SpendCue where editing and deletion controls are available. You can also remove the app from your device to delete local app data stored on that device.
If SpendCue data has synced through iCloud, you may also need to manage or delete the app's iCloud data from your device's iCloud storage settings.
Changes To This Policy
This policy may be updated when SpendCue changes its data handling, features, or support channels. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
